The Sierra Vista Rotary Club provided financial support under a Rotary Global Grant to purchase a new Medical Van in support of the community of Caborca Mexico.
As part of the Club's annual International outreach support, the Sierra Vista Rotary Club (along with other clubs in Southern Arizona and Southern California) provided funding for the purchase of a new Medical Van for Caborca Mexico.
Grant Description: Caborca Medical Van
The global grant's objective is to provide funding to the health jurisdiction of Caborca Mexico for a mobile medical unit, which has two cubicles of health care: one of them equipped with a dental unit for treatment of children and adults. The second cubicle has a gynecological couch for review and early detection of problems in pregnancy, as well as samples of Pap smear for early detection of cervix cancer. GG total was $81,050.

Last Saturday the Medical Unit arrived here in Caborca. Next Wednesday will come a technical advisor of the manufacturing company, to explain the operation of the team to the staff of the Ministry of Health that will operate it. In the following days there will be the labeling of the participating clubs and the placement of some Rotary logos inside. Meanwhile, it will remain sheltered in a Roberto Vázquez warehouse until the day you arrive (23-25 Feb 2018) and it is delivered...
