Community Service Committee

I'm Tim Quinn, Director for the Community Services Committee. I am committed to a personal motto of helping those "In our own Backyard, Over the Fence and Down the Street". Rotary is a tremendously strong and capable organization helping people in countries around the world from Africa to Asia to America. The focus of the Community Service Committee is helping those here at home. Please consider being part of this committee. Projects we are planning and conducted are listed in greater detail below.  I am committed to stating, "We can and we will" when Rotary finds areas in which our help would make a positive impact and when we are asked for help in areas we have yet to discover.

Our ongoing project is providing the Cochise Children Center (CCC) with sleeping bags for the children to use when they are relocated to foster families.  We are near completion of distributing Thesaurusi to the local 7th graders. Because of a donation last year by SSVEC, we have been able to purchase nearly 1500 thesauruses for local 7th graders in Sierra Vista, Fort Huachuca and Palominas.

Our next project is helping other Rotary clubs in Sierra Vista with purchasing and distributing Dictionaries to every third grader.  This should take place in Nv.
